PE - STRIKING and FIELDING

WALT: Apply Striking and Fielding activities in a range of sports and activities.

My Strengths

The striking strategies I was able to effectively demonstrate during the games we played were keeping my eye on the ball and followed though with the bat.

The throwing and catching strategies I was able to effectively demonstrate during the games we played were, Watching the ball all the way to its target and keeping my eye on the ball.

My Next Steps

To improve my striking of a ball I need to have a Good stance because I need to balance to be able to strike better.

To Improve my catching and fielding I need to use Soft hands for catching the ball because I dropped the ball in most of the games.

The game that I enjoyed the most was rounder because it had the most skills packed into one game.

Changing the flag or not?

W.A.L.T:  I can gather, evaluate, and synthesize information across a small range of texts.

This is my research on reasons why we should change the flag and why we shouldn't. We had to read two story's two different opinions and find the main ideas and put them in our own words

Merit Evidence for kapa haka
23 March 2016
I have been remembering to turn up to kapa haka and showing the respect values to the teachers that are there. I have been showing leadership to the younger students in kapa haka by listening to instructions and following them. We learnt new actions and I demonstrated the leadership values by being resilient.

The traits of an effective leader.

W.A.L.T describe the traits of an effective leader.
My level is relational that means I can compare and contrast the traits of different leaders.
My next step is to be able to evaluate the effectiveness of a leader.
This is my understanding of the of the traits of an effective leader.
This template is filled with traits of how Sir Edmund Hillary showed leadership from a story called
More than a Mountaineer.

Merit Evidence for:PALS
7 March 2016
I have been remembering to turn up to my duty on time and having the right gear to play my game. I have been reminding my PAL group to make it on time to, I am asking others in the playground what is the time and then giving my PAL group a yell for when it is time. during one of my duty's people came up to me and asked for a free pozi and I politely replied no and they walked of. Not much people turned up to one of my first duty's it was a sort quick game with 5 against 5. Next time i want to explain the instructions more clear because they were doing what ever they wanted to do. I like doing PALS it gives the kakano students something to do at lunch and me an opportunity to show leadership.
