Key leadership role #4

This week we as leaders did nothing much apart from some public speaking and Leeana and I got an award for helping/organising the kauri Run Bike Run/Duathlon we had one meeting but all we talked about was what was hard in our leadership role and what was easy.

The Care value I showed was Excellence because I stood on the stage proudly.

Technology blog post #4

At technology on Thursday they had printed my project and it looked so good, I even found out that it holds water. The teacher and I discovered that it would look even better if we hot glued some felt on the inside and on the lid. then at 10:00 Leeana and I went to mandarin and learnt some new words like Tang which means candy.

The Care value I showed was active thinking because I helped contribute to an idea to hot glue some felt on the inside.

The Care value I showed was active thinking because I finished my project really early by being an active thinker.

Key leadership role #3

Run Bike Run

Last week Leeana and I ran the Run Bike Run. We had to get down to Westlake park at 7:45 am, that was really early start for me.
Mr Forman and Mr Hillary were already down there so we started to set up then we went back to school to do the roll. Mr Forman, Leeana and I then drove down to get there before anyone else and fix cone's that have been knocked over. Everyone completes there race including me and they all go back to school and Leeana and I stay behind and pack up.

Overall Run Bike Run was really fun. I came 5th in my race and made it to Ruapuna raceway to compete in the bigger Run Bike Run.

The Care value I showed was community because Leeana and I woke very early to create a run bike run for the school community

Games with minimal or no equipment

In PE we have been participating in a variety of games that require little or no equipment.
Below is the Matrix which shows our progression in this unit of learning.

Screen Shot 2017-03-12 at 12.32.06 PM.png

The table below shows my understanding of games with minimal or no equipment.

Examples of Games that need minimal or no equipment.
What equipment would we usually need to play these games.
Why do we play games with minimal or no equipment?
invisible touch
tag games
hunger games
pirate ship
bibs
cones
balls
bats
Because If you are at a sporting event and need to get a game going and have minimal or no equipment you cloud play these games and easy to setup.

My Strengths.
Some things that I have done well during this unit of learning are contributing to the discussion because everyone needed to add ideas to make the game better

My Next Steps.

Some things I could improve on when playing games with minimal or no equipment are is having no equipment instead of minimal Because that's the point in this unit to come up with games with no equipment.

Leadership article writing

In writing I have been learning to use a wide range of punctuation appropriately and with increasing accuracy like . , ! ? “”
- colon :
- semi-colon ;
- hyphen -
- parentheses ( )
- brackets [ ]
- ellipses ...

I have been especially focusing on using parentheses and semi-colon. I have highlighted these in green where I have used them as well as other punctuation that I changed because it was used incorrectly. Here is a piece of my writing that shows this.

An active thinker leader is able to problem solve and think creatively. Bill gates is a great example of an active thinker, he came up with many great ideas (microsoft windows) and showed active thinking throughout the process. This trait is important to my role because sometimes as a sports co-ordinator you need to think about different strategies. I will demonstrate this trait in my role by working together with Mr Forman and Mr Hillary to create strategies to create sporting events and making them easier to plan.

How to become a Chef

Chef, this is a perfect career for me. Normal Chefs have a number of roles in their daily job including: preparing food, keeping work areas tidy and washing dishes after. The pay of a normal Chef gets around $16 - $25 an hour but a professional Chef gets around $22 - $49 an hour. The chances of me getting this job are high so I need to work towards my goal to achieve and follow the steps below.

There are a range of personal requirements that are needed to become a Chef. I need to be able to follow instructions so I can follow how the head Chef runs the place and how he wants the food cooked. I also have to be able to work under pressure when the kitchen is busy and orders come in fast. There is one more trait I need to have and that's to be reliable, reliable to my boss and my fellow chefs, so they can trust me and able to be relied on. These requirements will help me achieve this position but I also need some useful experiences.

To become a chef i will need to have a lot of useful experiences. One useful experience is to have any work preparing food, this is important because I actually need to know how to prepare to get better opportunities. Catering is a useful experience because you can get higher up, if you know how to do a lot of these things. Working in a kitchen before I go into my career is a very useful skill. Useful experiences can really help me to become a Chef. The last part needed are the entry requirements.

There are three entry requirements to become a Chef. two-three year on the job apprenticeship, including study towards a national certificate in hospitality - cookery level 4. One year full time national certificate in hospitality, basic cookery level 3. I also need one year, full time national certificate in hospitality level 4. It will be good for me if I can get all these certificate so I am able to get a better career.

Overall, there are many personal requirements needed to become a Chef eg: to be able to follow instructions. There are also many useful experiences that I could have to help achieve my goal of becoming a Chef. The entry requirements are many and varied. Finally, I believe that this career is achievable through hard work.

That was my research of how to become a Chef
